Resource Efficient Structures for Industrial Parks and Regions
– Analysis of Status Quo and Design of Development Processes for Resource Efficient Structures in Industrial Parks and Regions: Prototypical Examples of Baitao and Wansheng
The project component that IUWA worked on on behalf on the GIZ within the energy sector reform programme “Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency” was concerned with analysing potentials for eco-industrial development of industrial parks and industrial parks in the Chinese province Chongqing. A significant component of the empirical investigations in Baitao Chemical Industrial Park and in the industrial district of Wansheng comprised of a questionnaire for entrepreneurs, implemented by IUWa in cooperation with the Centre for Energy Saving and the Technical University of Chongqing. The recommendations arising from the results of the questionnaire were discussed in detail, on both an administrative and a company level, leading to material specific recommendations not only for the local government, but also for every company that took part in the Project.
